About this product
ALK Prewash was developed to facilitate easy degreasing of highly contaminated surfaces. The product is a high Alkaline based traffic film remover, suitable for use in a variety of applications including body, engine and wheels. The product contains a pH of 13.2 which is safe for chromed, nickel-plated or rubber surfaces. We advise caution when using this product due to its high pH value, use of gloves is also advised and our dilution guide below will aid you in diluting it correctly.
Dilution instructions:
- Light pre-wash at 1:100 or 1:50
- Mild pre-wash at 1:10, also suitable for use in your Snowfoam Lance or Pressure Sprayer.
- Heavy pre-wash at 1:5, also suitable for use in your Snowfoam Lance or Pressure Sprayer.
- Wheel, arch liner, undercarriage & Engine bay cleaning at 1:5.
- Neat use is also possible for extremely heavy soiling.
Instructions for use:
- Do not wash your vehicle when hot or in direct sunlight, if the vehicle has just been driven, we advise to allow at least 15 minutes for the vehicle components and bodywork to cool down before washing. Rinsing before working in heated conditions will also aid in dropping down your surface temperature before working. Cooler temperatures will also allow the product to work without the risk of it drying on your paintwork or other trim.
- Apply using your preferred method of application, wearing of gloves and use of a mask is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.Â
- Allow to dwell for no longer than 60-90 seconds depending on air temperature and rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer.
- Do not use on galvanized materials or raw aluminium, always perform a test spot before use.
